One of mine and my sons favorite meals is Quiche, we love it and I actually have a Quiche cookbook, so here's one of our favorites. I hope you will enjoy it too.
- Ham and cheese Quiche:
- 1 or 2 pastry shells, depending how many you are feeding
- Double this recipe if making more than 1 Quiche
- 1 cup diced cooked ham
- 2 ounces of Cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 ounces of Swiss cheese, grated
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Spread the ham over the bottom of the pie shell, Sprinkle half of the cheese, over the ham, to the 4 beaten eggs add remaining ingredients, place pie crust on a cookie sheet, and carefully pour the egg mixture in, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake at 375, for 30 or until the top is puffed up and browned, remove from oven and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
